You know that feeling when it’s cold outside and you go sit on the porch with a cup of coffee? I’m looking for a book that feels similar to that.
Not into horror, and not looking for sci-fi or romance. Looking for something well-written, satisfying, and possibly simple. I’ve been trying to find winter reads where the season of year is heavily emphasized.
I’ve read A Christmas Carol, Moominland Midwinter, and Small Things Like These though with Keegan’s work, the tone is a darker than what I’m looking for at this time even though I enjoyed the read. Loved The Travelling Cat Chronicles (if you haven’t tried it, it’s highly recommended!) and if this one had more of a wintery setting, it would represent what I’m looking for.
