Need me some more light-hearted sci-fi novels

I'm a fan of Andy Weir, and after finishing Project Hail Mary I am looking for books that are similar to the tone found in his books. You know, sci-fi that is fun and interesting, but not super existential or lore-heavy. I'd prefer stuff that's more self-contained too, so please no 5+ book series lol.
