Hi! I'm looking for fantasy book recommendations that scratch the itch of 'group on a journey together' and anything that resembles a dungeons and dragons style of having plenty of races, magic, and interesting places that are fleshed out.

I guess the obvious answer would be the Dragonlance Chronicles, starting with Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.
