My mom has always said she wanted to get back
into reading and with her birthday and Christmas coming up I thought it would be a nice little gift. She loved Encyclopedia Brown as a kid, and in adulthood has always loved mysteries and procedurals on television. In her free time she usually watches stuff like Murder She Wrote, Matlock, Dragnet, etc since that’s what was on tv when she was growing up. I was hoping to maybe have a story targeted toward older readers and with a mystery element to it, but I think simply having an accessible book that a 60 year old could appreciate would be enough for me regardless of genre.
