Hey forum! I enjoyed reading 50 shades years ago ( only the first book, I didn't want to complete the series). Right now in a mood to read something spicy smutty erotic just like that book, please suggest.
I need a modern setting, that's the catchy vampires/ fantasy / historical etc. doesn't work for me.

Have you read The Mister by the same author? I will be honest I enjoy book roasting podcasts so that is how I know of it; apparently EL James has improved her depictions of technology usage in The Mister but otherwise it sounds fairly similar.
I did complete the series. Not a flex, just minor OCD. I don’t have personal experience with many spicy erotica that isn’t fanfiction because, oddly, too many of them are very poorly written and the sex scenes are just meh.
My first accidental porn was {{When the Aliens Come, by Steve Victor}}, published by Hustler. Someone didn’t realize it was porn (presumably) and it was on the paperback rack at the cornerstore. Can’t find an affordable edition to see if it stands up now that I’m an adult, but searching did give me an article titled “The 58 Most Erotic Books You Will Ever Read”. I don’t know any of them, but they look fun! Edited for typo.
