I need something that has zero silver lining/happy ending. Just raw and devastating and bound to make me cry. Would love something that has to do with grief as I'm going through it myself and find myself reading a lot in hopes of finding words to describe the pain.
Devastating books that I've already loved are Enon by Paul Harding, The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion, A Little Life, The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri, Disgrace by Coetzee, The Night Lake by Liz Tichenor.
