I (27M) have just recently been to China due to work. I went there with no expectations and I was pleasantly surprised when I interacted with Chinese people and witnessed their progress. Now, my curiosity is at its peak and I think I would really like to read up on China before this enthusiasm wanes with time. I tried reading something else, but I didn't find it engrossing. I am afraid I will find nothing engrossing until I satiate my curiosity w.r.t Chinese culture and Chinese people.
So please leave some recommendations (you may recommend books about China's geopolitics but books about culture and overview are preferred).
