My dad died unexpectedly a week ago, ironically I was almost done with “crying in h mart” but I can’t pick it back up yet. I normally love horror or anything creepy/weird but I kind of want to feel nothing. What are some easy, fun, mindless books that take your mind off anything serious?

The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. Douglas Adams
What about funny nonfiction? I loved Bill Bryson’s book A Walk in the Woods.
First, I’m sorry you’re going through this hard time.
I just finished reading The Husbands by Holly Gramazio and it’s funny and light. Woman discovers whenever her husband goes into the attic, a new one emerges in his place. So funny as she swaps them out whenever they’re annoying and gets to know the next one.
Lamb if you’re up for sacrilege.
sorry for your loss 💛
