If any of you have seen the movie, Blue Jean, you know that it's beyond fantastic. For those that haven't, the premise is about a closeted lesbian woman living in the UK under the Thatcher era, trying to navigate pressures in a complicated society and culture. Here's the official blurb:
In 1988, a new law stigmatizing gays and lesbians forces Jean, a closeted gym teacher, to live a double life. As pressure mounts from all sides, the arrival of a new student catalyzes a crisis that will push Jean to the edge.
Do you have book suggestions that are similar to the vibes/themes/concepts of this movie? I've read Stone Butch Blues, and enjoyed that book as well.
