I assume you’re looking for non-fiction books not fiction, but like… *100 Years of Solitude* by Gabriel García Márquez really is a home run here.
Commenting with that suggestion, but also because I’d like some non-fiction recommendations as well. I do have *Open Veins of Latin America* by Eduardo Galeano on my bookshelf but I haven’t read it yet so I can’t speak for it. I’d assume just context-wise that it would cover this, though.
