Some family members and I started a book club and we are three books in now but they are SUPER heavy (talking books about cultural appropriation, one about the slums and prisons in India). I am up next to give my recommendation and I honestly want something that is strong…. But light. I am overwhelmed with some of the social and political aspects of my life and my surroundings, I want the book I recommend to be more of a escape versus digging deeper into it. But I don't want it to be frivolous either. Any suggestions? As an idea of the types of books I love, I just read "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue" and absolutely loved it!!
