Suggest a book that is great for understanding dogs, helped you and your dog, opened your eyes about dogs, taught you about dogs, or particularly great life changing stories about a dog. Thank you 💛
Not *about* dogs, but about a particular dog (well, really a few dogs), and the impact on American culture. Goes into history of dogs and is really interesting!

my favourite book about a dog is easily The Call of the Wild by Jack London

The Art of Racing in the Rain is told from a dog’s perspective. Caution, its sad!
Heart Breaker by Claudia Dey has one part that’s told from the perspective of a dog. And it fills in a lot of the gaps of the story because there’s no secrets to be kept from a dog! Very inventive and interesting story.

Alexandra Horowitz is a great author for this! However raisins are NOT good treats and it’s kinda weird she didn’t know that. Dog psychologists =/= vets
