I work in education. I have a kindergarten student who recently got abused by a family member. He is starting to display defiant behaviors that I had never seen before he was abused. I've worked with students with behaviors, but never one that went through domestic violence. I'm worried that the way I would usually react might be insufficient. I would love any suggestions you may have on evidence-based books that might help an educator react appropriately!
