Hi everyone. Title says it all pretty much. I love the classics. From Brothers Karamazov to Pride and Prejudice but the wording can be tiresome to read. Im lookkng for some good books set in that time frame. The only books I've read so far are some of the Bridgerton series. All generes are welcome. Adventure gets bonus

They’re older, but if you like the Georgian and Regency eras, try Georgette Heyer’s books. My favorites are *These Old Shades*, *Arabella*, and *Venetia*.

Parts of *North Woods* (Daniel Mason), *The Red Garden* (Alice Hoffman) and *Blackbird House* (also Alice Hoffman) take place then.

*Chains*, *Forge*, and *Ashes* are a YA trilogy by Laurie Halse Anderson set during the American Revolution.

Since you like adventure, check out books by Madeleine Brent. They’ve from the 1970s. Great entertaining and interesting books combining adventure, romance, and mystery.

Also, The Revenant. Very surprised by how good it was.

The Baroque Cycle by Neal Stephenson.  You get adventure, romance, science with people who find themselves in the major courts of Europe in the early 1700s.  There’s even like a slight pirate adventure in there.
