Having trouble selecting a meaningful book gift. My mother in law reads a lot, but isn't the deepest thinker. Anything with complex themes and story lines tends to confuse her. Ideally a timeless work of fiction that stimulates critical thinking but not too sad or heavy going. I realize that's not much to go on. Anything come to mind? Thanks in advance!
