I'm planning on joining the storygraph's reading around the world challenge next year, which includes reading books from 10 different countries (with an author from that country and set in said country). This year's countries are:
- Australia
- Belgium
- China
- Egypt
- Iceland
- Kenya
- Malaysia
- Mexico
- The Netherlands
- The Philippines
I'm open to any recs, but a bit about my reading preferences if it helps:
Non-fiction: Memoirs and narrative non-fiction, preferably no self-help
Fiction: Literary fiction, contemporary fiction, preferably no fantasy or romance
Themes: Religion, familial relationships, queerness, trauma, mental health, neurodivergence, language
