So I'm about to read Jaron Lanier, 10 arguments for deleting all your social media accounts now. I would like to read an argument for the other side, but not something about the advantages of using it for business and marketing. Which have been what all the books I have seen are about.

I am not sure someone could write about the benefits of social media on one’s personal development or well being though, as it it proven that nothing really is beneficial about social media on the long run, compared to all the detrimental effects we know….
So if someone finds some references like that, I’d be happy to read.
It might be simplest to read biographies of big players in social media—Mark Zuckerberg, Tom Anderson, Jack Dorsey. I did a quick search but mainly found articles, I didn’t find sympathetic or self-written *books* but maybe there are. When I searched for Zuck, there were several lists of books he recommended, so perhaps reading some of each person’s favorite books could shed light on their philosophies.
