Hello!
I enjoy fantasy and scifi, but somehow quite rarely get into longer series. In the early-2010s I read the Game of Thrones books while backpacking, and this decade I've been going through The Expanse whenever I'm on holiday. I started it in 2022 and I think I'll be done with it some time next year.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a long series such as these? Preferably one that's been finished cause I'm an idiot and started A Song of Ice and Fire thinking it was completed and you know how that has turned out….. It doesn't need to be fantasy/scifi (historical fiction is actually my favourite genre) but I'd love something with good world building.
So far I'm thinking Dune but haven't decided yet, plus I do love the films so I thought it might be nice to pick something else. I like The Expanse books but I actually prefer the TV show so might be nice to go in without any expectations for once. Doesn't have to be this "big and famous"!
