I recently read A People's History of the United States and The Killers of the Flower Moon. Both were really good and I'd like to read and get to know a little bit more about history of Native Americans. Got any recs??
Trail of Tears by John Ehle is great. It’s at my mountain place after I read it I still go back to read excerpts from time to time. My favorite parts are when they are still in North Carolina.

You can’t study Native American history without reading *Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee,* by Dee Brown. A thorough account of the violated treaties and extermination campaign against Indigenous peoples by the US government.
I would also recommend *Tracks,* by Louise Erdrich. It’s historical fiction, but about Native Americans and very beautifully written. A brilliant book.
