A few weeks ago, I had one of those moments where I realized how little control I actually have over my own data. I was scrolling through my phone, and an ad popped up for something I had just mentioned in a casual conversation with a friend. I hadn’t searched for it, hadn’t typed it out-just spoke it aloud. It left me spiraling, wondering how much of what we do online is really ours. Since then, I’ve been diving into topics around privacy, technology, and how the digital world works behind the scenes.
so can anyone recommend a book that explores these themes-maybe something that dives into privacy, surveillance, or even the ethics of it all? Fiction or non-fiction, I’m open to anything that’ll make me think (and maybe even make me paranoid).

I had a similar wake-up call about privacy recently-it’s such a deep rabbit hole. A lot of these questions around privacy and control are being tackled by developers in real time. Books like ‘The Age of Surveillance Capitalism’ really opened my eyes to how far it all goes.
Also there’s even a hackathon happening now where they’re exploring these issues in practical ways just FYI – [https://dorahacks.io/hackathon/calimero-x-icp/detail](https://dorahacks.io/hackathon/calimero-x-icp/detail)
