I'm a big fan of books that are slice of life with characters who are a little bit sad or dealing with mental health challenges, set in liminal spaces. Particularly grocery stores, shopping malls, little stores, etc.

So basically, books similar to:

Convenience Store Woman
Pizza Girl

Denison Ave.

And basically anything that Emily Austin has ever written.

Or something similar to the movies Garden State or Three Months.

Bonus points for a female character. Extra bonus points if the main character is sapphic.
