AletheaKuiperBelt on December 24, 2024 12:24 am I’m planning a Pratchett reread, so The Colour of Magic. Not a strongly recommended start, if you haven’t read any Pratchett before. Men at Arms or Wyrd Sisters would be better.

Affectionate-Dingo13 on December 24, 2024 1:00 am Trying to decide between 11/22/63 and Project Hail Mary.
Robotboogeyman on December 24, 2024 1:03 am The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker if you like historical fantasy. 1900s NYC, great audio (George Guidall narrates). The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson if you like a strange, kind of dark, somewhat tragic yet beautiful love story. A Gift of Time by Jerry Merritt, sci fi about an old man about to off himself who then gets a second chance at his life. Dungeon Crawler Carl if you want a wild and hilarious romp with great characters and silliness abound. Lonesome Dove if you want a real banger of a character book, or a western. First Law if you want grimdark fantasy A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson for non fic w a little humor.
Informal_Potato5007 on December 24, 2024 1:29 am I think my first book of the year will be The Safekeep by Yael van der Wouden.
Aggravating_Tip_5875 on December 24, 2024 2:38 am I’m trying the Silo series, just can’t seem to focus on anything during the holidays…maybe once 2025 hits, my brain will calm down.
