Ok that may be awfully specific, but I want book recommendations that has these elements:
- Doomed morally grey/evil protagonists on the run from powers greater and more evil than they are
- Constant action. Very minimal explanation or contemplation on the characters' inner thoughts etc. Every passage moves the narrative forward.
- Abrupt or ambiguous ending.
- Grimy, dirty urban setting like the shadier parts of Shanghai.
