My mother and I are both avid readers and we sometimes swap books or read something we equally find interesting and discuss. I'm more into non fiction about outdoors or war (like A Walk in the Woods or Into the Wild) and writers like Thomas Pynchon. Some of my mom's favorite are I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb and A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman; she generally seems to like family centered stories.
Some of the books we've read so far are
- Night, Elie Wiesel
- Hidden Valley Road, Robert Kolker
- The Boy Who Followed His Father Into Auschwitz, Jeremy Dronfeld
- Hillbilly Elegy, JD Vance
- The Stranger on the Lifeboat, Mitch Albom
- Wild, Cheryl Strayed
Curious for recommendations as we've had more misses than hits lately when we try to swap books.
