I read totally different books than her so I’m not sure what to get her.
I have some information, she really liked:
– Normal people by sally rooney
– matrix by lauren groff
– Small things like these by claire keegan
For the dutch people:
Sneeuwspoor door Rudy Morren
She also said she really likes people stories and fairytale-ish stories and there has to be something beautiful in the book.

If you think she’d be open to fantasy, The Bear and the Nightingale, by Katherine Arden, that is the first book in the Winternight trilogy.
Really enchanting folklore inspired tale. Same with:
•The King of Elfland’s Daughter by Lord Dunsany.
• Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik.
