Dear book fans,
What book comes in your mind in which a fictional character has influence on historical events AND has direct contact with historical real life characters?
I am talking about books like Winston Groom's "Forrest Gump" and "Gump & Co" in which Forrest meets not only different US presidents but also Mao Tse-Tung or (in the second book) Tom Hanks, Jim Bakker, Bill and Hillary Clinton etc.
I also mean books like Jonas Jonassons "The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared" in which Allan meets Allan Oppenheimer, Joseph Stalin, Harry Truman etc. or even satirical books about historical figures who appear in a very unusual situation for them, e.g. "Look Who's Back" by Timur Vernes, in which Hitler meets German politicians like Holger Apfel, Sigmar Gabriel etc. and is analyzing todays society and compares it with the one he used to live in.
