It's been some time since I could travel the world due to some issues, so I would like to experience the feeling of exploring nature via books.
Could there be a findings report? style book where the author is a part of an expedition and records what they see along the way..? I don't know exactly what to search to find that type of book.
Or even just books with drawings/pictures of the findings on a natural expedition would be okay!

The Quickening by Elizabeth Rush. The author joins the first Antarctic expedition to observe the collapsing Thwaits glacier that could have a major impact to sea levels. Really beautifully written.
