Looking for a cozy book with no romance

Hi folks,
I've become chronically ill so I have to lie down a lot and reading is a good way to pass the time.
I'm looking for lighthearted books, preferably short ones, that have no romance, or at least not too much.
Some authors I like are Andy Weir, Rainbow Rowell, and Matt Haig.
