We recently spent a month traveling in Japan with our 4 year old and she absolutely loved it. Hasn't stopped reminiscing since. I'd like to get her a book that will be a good reminder for her. Potentially one with pictures? She loves the ghibli movies she's seen but also seemed to really enjoy the culture in Japan. She is advanced for her age when it comes to reading and will comfortably sit through a few chapters at a time. Thanks

There’s an adaptation of Kiki’s delivery service, and Howl’s Moving Castle is based on a book series but those might still be a bit much for a 4 year old. Try reading her the Guardians by William Joyce. I read those to my niece. He has other kid’s books more suited to young kids and they’re beautiful and whimsical. If I remember correctly he made Rolie Polie Olie.
