Used to read all sorts, Ursula Le Guin, Jean M Auel, Terry Brooks, Stephen King and so on. Loved a good narrative horror or fantasy.
But now had 8 years of reading and writing only academic stuff and instead gaming for pleasure. Feels like I've lost that concentration for books but really want it back. Maybe internet brain rot and I hate it.
Started with a childrens book of the year just to get started, which I finished in a day. But looking for more adult but still accessible stuff.
Hope this is okay to post and open to any suggestions.
