John Gwynne’s *The Shadow of the Gods* is the most Viking book that ever Viking’d.

Children of Ash and Elm by Neil Price (probably my favourite non-fiction book)

The Saga of Erik the Viking by Terry Jones. Written for a younger audience but still very enjoyable as an adult. I loved it as a boy and I just reread it to my kids last year.
