I'm 100 percent serious, my cats love the sound of my voice (they come over whenever they hear me talking to someone else) so suggest me a book to read for them.
Haven’t visited it myself yet but I guess it’s a whole series.

These are not cat books at all. The reason I’m recommending is because the language in the books (exposition and dialogue) is so damn natural and like we all really talk. So kitties may respond better to it than more flowery book language. The author is Michael Poore. The books are Up Jumps the Devil and Reincarnation Blues. And even better might be his children’s book Two Girls, a Clock, and a Crooked House.

“Anne of Windy Poplars” by LM Montgomery. No lengthy complex plot to follow and fwiw there is a cat character, Dusty Miller who co-manages the Spooks Lane residence. It’s almost like a series of short stories woven into a longer sub-plot.
It’s public domain so it’s easy to find free ebook downloads
