I have never been a huge reader. I have done a fair amount of schooling (and am still doing more) so I have often not been very inspired and/or motivated to read in my spare time. I have been trying to make it a habit to read before bed and not scroll on my phone.
My favorite book series is Harry Potter and I have read it multiple times as an adult. However, the book I read next doesn't necessarily have to be magical or about wizards, as I am open to anything. I have tried to read Lord of the Rings and would be open to trying again, but when I did read it, I didn't necessarily find it difficult to comprehend, but maybe the language was a little too antiquated for me to keep me super motivated.
Other than that, I've mostly read non-fiction books, and I would prefer to read something that is purely for fun and not just to be productive.
In general, I enjoy media about crime or solving crimes, dystopian and end of the world type things, and fantasy. Ultimately, my goal is to have a book that I can't put down.

Try the Hunger Games. I’m not sure what age you are. It’s probably classed as YA but I read it as an adult and enjoyed it. It’s a page turner, kind of dystopian, easy to read.
I read Fahrenheit 451 and 1984 for the first time as an adult and really enjoyed them.
I want to read more Ray Bradbury this year. I also really enjoy Stephen King.
Have fun!
