I have zero creative or artistic talent but I’m interested in trying to develop it. More specifically, I have a very math/econ heavy job but also have a ton of creative freedom to go down different paths with my studies and projects.

I often have a really hard time coming up with new ideas. Its one of my development goals for next year but looking for some guidance on how to get there.

    Thank you!

The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron–yes, for visual artists, but really for creativity and exploration.

    2. You and I are in the same boat. My only creative outlet is photography. I think it qualifies as art but I’m as drawn to the technology and gadgetry of it all, and sort of backed into the creativity side of it.

The problem I’m having is the age gap. I’ve tried a few “how to be creative” books lately and it seems like they’re written by GenZ women for GenZ women.

It’s all vibes and mood boards. I don’t even know what those words mean.

I’ll suggest my most recent title in the genre, but I’m not sure if it will move the needle. Let me know if you find anything that sparks you.

I like gardening. Recently I collected the sunflower seeds from a few plants and sorted them into packets of 20-30 seeds each. Labeled them and passed them out to my neighbors. We should have a pretty spring with all of the sunflowers in the neighborhood. Does this count as “creative”?
