I have a 9 year old girl and we fight a lot. It's always our fault that this our that happened.
I want to understand why she feels that way, and what we, as get her parents can change about the way we interact with her to not trigger all of these emotions.
I know that this is a difficult age to go through, so I'm trying to find out how best to support her.
Thank you

This has a few suggestions
Here are three highly recommended books to help parents understand and better support pre-teen children:
[1. “How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk” by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish](https://amzn.to/4fCrnde)
This classic parenting book provides practical communication strategies to reduce conflict and build a stronger relationship. It’s great for understanding how to approach sensitive conversations and foster mutual respect.
[2. “The Whole-Brain Child” by Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson](https://amzn.to/3PeeX0i)
This book explains the science behind a child’s developing brain and offers age-appropriate strategies to connect with your child, manage their emotions, and create a more harmonious dynamic.
[3. “Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood” by Lisa Damour](https://amzn.to/3Pi6dGG)
While primarily focused on teens, this book covers the early stages of emotional and social development that start in the pre-teen years. It’s insightful and helps parents understand the emotional changes girls go through.
These books offer compassionate and actionable advice to help you navigate this challenging but rewarding stage.
