Hello. For background, I never really enjoyed reading and I think it is not because I loathe the idea of reading itself but because it is of what I am reading (school textbooks, basically things I have no real interest with).

But I do appreciate writing though, I personally love creative writing but I feel no passion for it. As the title says, I want to begin loving reading and appreciating literature more. I want to quote authors and their favorite literary lines as bookworms do!

Recently finished watching Dead Poets Society and currently rewatching Harry Potter series and I so so loved Hermione for being booksmart and bright. These movies and characters have inspired me so much. Also this'll be good as a hobby as the New Year encroaches. So what books, excerpt, films do you recommend? I personally want something interesting but knowledgeable! Thank you to those who will answer.

    1. I would recommend Life of Pi by Yann Martel. It is interesting, adventurous, and pretty funny. It also has some insightful info about the animal kingdom, zoo life, and how religions interact. A great read for sure!

Also The Help by Kathryn Stockett if you’re into historical fiction. It has a complex plot and is also very enjoyable.

      Happy reading!
