just finished “Dollar Kid” and “This book kills” as my gateway to start reading book in english which i found really fun and good chance to learn vocab and everything. I decided to keep reading young adults (maybe designed for 9-14yo) since i think that’s where i can grasp the whole thing without dictionary. Recently, I bought “A Bright Heart”which i just hooked by cover art but it turned out to be so much above level for me that i have to look up at least two words in each sentence.
I was wondering if anyone have opinion about this and can recommend book for me.

(Also, this is side question but I was also wondering if i should stick with book that are designed for lower grade or i should upgrade once i read through the lower level book)

    1. Have you looked at Graded Readers?

I read them for French books.

I know there must be lots in English. I only know one author. Her name is Kit Ember. She writes Short and Simple Romance books for English language students who are adults.

She also has some other books for students like you.

They are ebooks and cheap. If you find them on your amazon. (Like you have to serach amazon.___ for you country. The links are for amazon.com which will work if you live in the USA)

If you want YA books look for Hi-Lo books.

The “Hi” is short of high interest. The “Lo” is for low reading level and length.
