I'm not really sure if I worded my heading correctly. I'm looking for books that were either written long ago or about long ago. Along the lines of The Devil in The White City or The Jungle by Upton Sinclair – historical fiction or nonfiction, I don't care.
I've recently started reading books and found that this is my favorite genre. I really enjoy the 1890-1920 time period, but I'd honestly be happy reading about any time period if the book is written well.
(Extra credit if there's a book that covers all the parts of WWII – I'd like to learn about how all the countries are connected in that conflict)
