Hello! I bought my 7-year-old daughter “Atana and the Firebird” for Christmas after seeing it at a local bookstore. She loved it and read the entire thing in about two days.
The sequel doesn’t come out until May, and I’d love to continue the reading habit momentum for her. So I’m looking for recommendations of graphic novels for her. She loves mythical creatures and everything mermaid/unicorn/phoenix/etc. I recently read “The Hobbit” aloud to her, and she enjoyed it but did struggle sometimes to follow the plot or understand some of the slightly older vocabulary. We’re reading “The Wild Robot” now, which she’s also enjoying.
I think the graphic novel format worked so well because it’s not a huge intimidating block of text. I’m not picky about language or most PG sort of romance or fantasy violence. But I’d like to avoid gore or anything too sad or scary.
I know there must be other gems out there, but I’m woefully underinformed about the genre. So Mom is doing what she does best: asking the Reddit gods for assistance! Thank you!

Maybe get her a manga of Pokémon or yo-kai watch I loved them when I was younger
