Here’s where our heads are at:
-some of us read a lot and some of us don’t but we all are interested in visiting some classic must-reads.
-we want to keep it manageable so a goal of 4 books felt right. Keeping it fun by pairing with the seasons felt like a good way to keep it interesting and make gathering and chatting about the books an event everyone will look forward to.
-I don’t think loooooong books will be the move but some length is okay.
-we are hoping to align with the seasons. We are thinking Frankenstein or (and/or?) Dracula for October and A Christmas Carol for December. We have a local theater that does the stage version every year so we’ll end by seeing it together as a tie in!
-looking for our early spring and summer read. We tossed around Pride and Prejudice, Picture of Dorian Gray, East of Eden… but nothing has really captured me yet.
What would you read if you were doing something like this?? I need the spring and summer books BUT I also want to hear what your 4 books would be.
Let’s hear it!!
