    1. The Spear Cuts Through Water by Simon Jimenez! It’s told as the folktale of two warriors transporting the body of a god across a country to retrieve an artifact, and I can tell you absolutely nothing else about it except that it’s maybe my favorite book ever. PS – it plays with POV a lot, so give the second-person at the beginning a chance! “You” are a character in the book – it’s not a self-insert Y/N story.

      couple different groups of folks going to search for a giant bunch of treasure down in the Amazon rainforest basically… Ive read it multiple times and it’s fantastic. 😁

      The Riddle of the Sands, by Erskine Childers (pre-WWI intrigue, but also about sailing)

      Without Armor (some editions are Knight Without Armor) , by James Hilton ( taking off from the “Anastasia” story).
