My brother in law is a PhD student 1,000 miles away and our only connection is a love of literature.
He sent me a copy of Gravity’s Rainbow this summer and after finishing it we spent a night while he was visiting discussing it for hours.
He said he enjoyed being able to discuss it with me and suggested I find a book for us to read together and for us to discuss the next time he visits.
Books we’ve already read but are possible inspirations:
- Infinite Jest
- House of Leaves
- Jesus’ Son
- The Sound and the Fury
