I'm looking for some suggestions on books to add to my reading list for the next year. 2024 was a great year for reading, ending up with 91 books down, and I'm hoping to hit 100 in the new year.
I try to set a reading-related personal challenge each year, so here's what I'm looking for:
-
Older books – not necessarily OLD, but less recent or new releases. What's a book you loved 10 years ago but no one talks about anymore?
-
Books originally written in a language other than English – I'm currently reading Butter and realized I have been missing out! What other treasures are out there?
-
Books that will challenge the way I think – I know this is broad, but I promise to be open-minded.
Some information about who I (typically) am as a reader:
Favorite authors – TJ Klune and Fredrik Backman
Favorite genres – Fantasy (witches most often), dystopian
Least favorite genres – Science fiction
Favorite book series – The Others by Anne Bishop, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, The Arc of a Scythe by Neal Schusterman
Books I absolutely hated – Demon Copperhead, The Bee Sting, The Bridgerton Books
I'm so excited for everyone's suggestions – thank you all in advance!
