Please recommend best books you read in different genres
I'm an author in the making and would like to learn what the best books/authors are in different genres. I want to enjoy reading them while making my own books for various genres as well.
I’m not gunna say my favorites for normal genres catagories like sci-fi, fantasy, thriller, etc. because those are way to broad and there’s no way I could choose a favorite. I’m just gunna go by the strengths of each of my favorite books.
Best Character-driven book:
* Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry.
Best Page-turner:
* The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino
Best Unreliable Narrator:
* We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
