Sad book suggestions that are not these titles (less commonly recommended)

I was hoping to get more less mainstream titles which are not:

11. Fredrick backman

14. The things they carried
15. All quiet on the western front
16. Carlos ruiz zafon books

Ive already read them and I hope for more.
