    Hi !

When i was in middle school I started reading bit-lit books such as Hex Hall (Rachel Hawkins), The Darkest Powers (Kelley Armstrong), Vampire Academy (Richelle Mead), My blood approves (Amanda Hocking), Dark Elite…etc. and I really really loved them. But well, time passed, and i switched to other passions such as danmei and stuff.

13 years later, idk why, i started rereading The Darkest Powers and man I really miss these kind of books.

Do you have any suggestions so I can catch up ?
I tried searching for some by myself but i never find them THAT entertaining… So if you have any with the same vibe than the ones i named above, it would be MAGNIFICENT.

The last book i read was Frost (CN Crawford) -> I liked it but not THAT much ; and before that House of the Night (Kristin Cast) → I stopped at volume 4 bc i really couldn't stand the protagonist anymore…

    1. I LOVE Vampire Academy. Recently did a re-read of whole universe. Do you realise that Mead wrote a second book series in the universe? It’s called Bloodlines and my boy Adrian is one of main characters there. Also she has a book containing short stories!

Anyway, I wander away. Of books you mentioned I only know Mead, Cast (and I share your opinion), and I distinctly remember reading something of Armstrong but not finishing it.

So, if vampires are a deal-breaker for you, I would say to check LJ Smith, but not Vampire’s Diaries, which I always found too complicated. Try the Night World series.

I also enjoyed Vampires from Morganville, but I have not reread it for years.

If you want similar vibe, but not necessarily vampires, I love Aprilynne Pike’s “Wings” series and I always reread Mead&Pike works next to each other, cause they bring similar vibe.

Or Malissa Marr “Wicked Lovely” series. (darn, I just checked the book’s name in English and… In my native language the title is so barbarian that it should be a crime).
