I just finished "Finding Chika" by Mitch Albom and it's the first book I was able to finish in like 10 years since I was a teenager. (I also read other Mitch books)
And other than bawling my eyes out at the end which is a FIRST to me, It was intense and gripping all throughout and I really enjoy how Mitch writes, simple and sweet. His use of vocabulary is emotional whilst not being too complicated as English is my second langauge.
I would love to know writers or reccomendations to books/authors like Mitch
