I have recently started watching Severance on Apple TV and wow! I need something similar.

For those unfamiliar it is about a procedure that can split your subconscious. One half is only active at work. And the other half is only active outside of work. This means at work, you have no memories or knowledge of yourself outside of work. And outside of work you have no memories of your work day. This basically enslaves your work self. All they know is work, they don’t experience sleep, holidays, weekends. It’s quite bleak.

I would love books that discuss deeper topics on morality but I don’t enjoy nonfiction
Are there any books that you have found profound and thought provoking that are approached in an abstract way?

    Thanks!

How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu covers a lot of different dystopian situations in a creative way. I found it to be very thought provoking, like the way the world becomes has people doing things we could never predict.
