I’ve fallen into a habit of reading exclusively depressing / sad books as I find them interesting. Can you recommend me some happy / feel good fiction to mix things up?

    1. The House On the Cerulean Sea, or, Under the Whispering Door. Both are by TJ Klune.

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna

Big Swiss by Jen Beagin is hilarious, it has a lot of dark humor but it’s great for a good laugh. I also hear incredible things about I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue.

    3. Try Brown Dog by Jim Harrison, probably the funniest book I’ve read but at times the humour surrounding the character is really insightful. He’s an idiot but in a way his lack of intelligence is a strength in that he’s able to find peace in the most simple of things that most people overlook throughout their entire life. Could be a good book to read as we’re constantly surrounded by distractions and quick dopamine hits which makes it a struggle for people to just feel satisfied just living 😂
