For more context…
I am 30 next year. Single. My last relationship was toxic.
Still renting and I’m not in the position of buying a house. At the moment I prefer to prioritise holidays/making memories.
All my friends are in relationships, getting engaged/married, buying houses, and having children. This is something I do want but not sure if or when it will happen. Naturally, I don’t feel as close to some of my friends anymore and they have different priorities to me.
Looking for fiction and non fiction suggestions. Can be something cheesy, funny, heartwarming, thought provoking etc.
TIA 🙂

Quentins by Maeve Binchy !
“Sea Change” by Gina Chung. I think you would really resonate with the main character in this as a lot of your self description follows our main character’s starting point in the book. I didn’t share the same things, but was so connected to her anyway. It was a lovely journey to take. I also listened to the audio book and the narrator was great, if that’s something you’d like to explore.
Cassandra in Reverse.
I asked a similar question in romance last year and enjoyed these suggestions: Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon, Georgie All Along by by Kate Clayborn

What You Are Looking For is in the Library by Michiko Aioyama – cozy Japanese fiction but helped me get through a career change that was driving me crazy
30 Things I Love About Myself by Radhika Sanghani is amazing and really helped me when I was depressed and feeling lost at 22 but the main character is 30
